GALACSI

We are a group of scholars in Georgia engaged in humanities pedagogy and research focused on the Atlantic World, Latin America, and the Caribbean. We aim to support faculty and student development through monthly writing workshops and special events. In addition to building an intellectual community through collaboration and writing support, we are strengthening the institutional ties among universities across the Greater Atlanta area and Georgia more broadly.

GALACSI began as an independent initiative in 2016 and we have since been sponsored by and/or have collaborated with the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Emory University, the Wilson Center for Humanities and Arts at the University of Georgia, and the Humanities Research Center at Georgia State University.
